AMD to Preview the “Zen” Processor on December 13

Rumors of AMD’s Zen processor have been circulating around the web, including the alleged naming strategy of SR3, SR5 and SR7. AMD really needs something exciting to reestablish its place as a top-class chip marker.

The company has failed to deliver the processor as it promised before, but it’s hosting a preview event of the Zen CPU next month, which will give us a better idea of what it’s capable of.
AMD has just unveiled the event at its official website, “Watch New Horizon, hosted by Geoff Keighley, for an exclusive advance preview of new ‘Zen’ CPU ahead of its 2017 Q1 launch. See eSports & Evil Geniuses legend PPD put ‘Zen’ through its paces. There’ll be appearances from special guests and giveaways. This is the first time the public will be able to try it themselves and see its capabilities. If you’re serious about gaming, this is an event you do not want to miss.”
Try not to expect too much though – AMD doesn’t ususlly reveal the specs and performance ahead of the launch. Anyway, the processor should be ready enough, which is a good news to consumers.
