Apple Issues Fifth Beta of iOS 10.2 to Public & Developers

Apple has released the iOS 10.2 Beta 5 over the weekend, which lacks of new features – just some bug fixes and new emojis. It appears that the iOS 10.2 final version is coming sometime soon, probably even before this week ends.

The iOS 10.2 update includes redrawn emoji and 72 new characters, conforming with the Unicode 9.0 specification. It also adds a dedicated “TV” app, and a “Celebration” effect in Messages. I’m not sure how often you guys use iMessage – as for myself, I hardly use it. Besides, iPhone 7 owners will get new wallpapers, and the native Videos app is gaining a widget.

Apple has even removed the Feedback app from the iOS 10.2 Beta 5, which means the official version is just around the corner.

The devices that can be updated to it include iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone SE, iPhone 6/iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s/iPhone 6s Plus, iPad 4, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro, iPad mini 2/3/4, and iPad Touch 6.
