AMD’s new high-end GPUs have passed RRA (Radio Research Agency) certification, and based on the screenshots just leaked by the Wccftech, they would be the Vega 10 and Polaris 12 GPU. All silicon based on electronic have to pass the RRA certification and before the final products hit shelves there won’t be any changes.
Let’s check out the newer screenshot, showing the GPU was granted RRA certification on December 9th. The codename of C90603 means it’s a consumer-class product, and it appears to be the Polaris 12 GPU in the flesh.
The other screenshot is more thrilling – the certification date was November 17th, with a codename of D04001. Since this is one of the first variants of the Vega architecture to pass RRA certification, it should be a Vega 10 GPU.
Anyway, the Vega 10 and Polaris 12 GPUs are getting much closer to being physical products, which is something we should be excited about.
