Qualcomm is set to announce its new-generation flagship Snapdragon 835 chipset at CES 2017, and its performance gets leaked already.
We used to assume that Samsung Galaxy S8 would be the first smartphone featuring Snapdragon 835, but Asus has lately suggested that it’s launching new killer smartphone to unleash the potential of the most powerful chipset. While the media invite doesn’t reallly reveal anything major but it does hint that the device could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
Asus was the first one to launch a smartphone running Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor, and we won’t be too surprised if it takes another lead on Snapdragon 835.
Anyway, the 10nm manufacturing process is still facing challenge in the aspect of productivity and yield rate. Even Asus had a head start on Snapdragon 835, it won’t be able to ship much at least in the first months.
