Google announced the Android Wear 2.0 at I/0 2016 event, but has delayed it until early 2017. The AndroidPolice has just learned that the system should be here in a few weeks.
According to the original article, Google has notified developers that the Wear 2.0 is around the corner, and they should get their apps ready.
Smartwatches will be good to use without a phone companion, and the company warns that those apps that haven’t been updated with support won’t show up on the watch Play Store.
Google is also working on two new smartwatches for high-end market, which may well be running Android Wear 2.0. Huawei Watch and LG Watch Urbane 2 LTE should get instant update of Wear 2.0, and for other models we’ll have to wait and see.
