Gigabyte has come up with an energy-efficient GeForce 9600GT graphics card, GV-N96TGR-512I, which is powered by 40% more power-efficient NVIDIA GeForce 9600GT GPU.
Gigabyte Offers DualBIOS Technology on All Its Motherboards |
Gigabyte developed the DualBIOS solution in 1999 to enhance the stability of motherboard. The DualBIOS features two physical BIOS ROMS mounted onto the motherboard. One chip acts as your “Main” BIOS that your system primarily uses during boot up. The second chip acts as a “Backup” BIOS to automatically take over your next system boot if the “Main” BIOS happens to fail or stops functioning.

When the Taiwan website Digitimes had an interview with Henry Lu, Vice President of products at MSI, Lu predicts that, due to global economic slump and limited expansion of the market, one of the top-four motherboard makers (Asustek, Gigabyte, MSI and ECS) will have to drop out of the motherboard market within the next few years. Only if one of these four first-tier motherboard makers quit, can the other three remain profitable.

Gigabyte has announced three models of AM3 motherboards supporting DDR3: GA-MA790FXT-UD5P, GA-MA790XT-UD4P and GA-MA770T-UD3P. As AMD doesn’t have plan yet to offer new chipset for motherboard which is compatible with AM3 processor, the above Gigabyte motherboards are all based on AMD 7 Series chipset.
